A founding partner at Knickerbocker, Mr. Lally’s decades of international law, business, and government experience sets him apart as an integral and accomplished member of the Knickerbocker team. A practicing Attorney-at-Law and Solicitor, he is partner in the New York-based international law firm of Lally and Lally, LLP. With a focus on commercial and international law - representing newspapers, telecommunications firms, transportation companies, automotive franchises, nursing homes, and banks - Mr. Lally also handles matters related to estate management, real estate, family law, citizenship, immigration, and appellate practice. Mr. Lally’s journalism background is also impressive; he is an Editor with the Leader newspapers and Publisher of the daily electronic news service Homeland Security Daily Wire.

In addition to his successful legal practice and journalism career, Mr. Lally has an extensive history of political and civic involvement. Mr. Lally was the Republican candidate for New York’s 5th Congressional District (North Shore of Long Island, Queens) in 1994 and 1996, and was a signatory to 1994’s historic “Contract With America.” Currently national Co-Chairman of the Irish-American Republicans, he twice served as national Chairman for Irish for Bush-Cheney, and was floor manager for the 2000 Florida recount in Miami-Dade. Mr. Lally currently serves as board member and New York Chairman for the Republican National Lawyers Association, and is a delegate to the 2008 Republican National Convention.

Lally is former President of the Irish Lobby for Immigration Reform, working to support legalization of the 50,000 undocumented Irish nationals in the United States. He has headed international study groups to Albania, Bosnia, Cuba, and the former East Germany. Mr. Lally’s civic involvement also includes service for and with the Red Cross, the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, the Plattduetsche Senior Home, and the Federalist Society for Law and Public Studies.

Mr. Lally received his BA from the Johns Hopkins University, his JD from Boston University, and his LLM in International Law from Georgetown University. He is admitted to practice before the state Bars of New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, as well as before the Federal District Courts in New York, the United States Court of International Trade, and the United States Supreme Court. He is also admitted as a Solicitor in the Republic of Ireland, and before the Supreme Court of England and Wales.
